Purcell Properties is an Irish-owned estate agency in Sotogrande, and we work for the buyer. Tell us exactly what you want from a home in Spain and we search the coast from Sotogrande to Málaga until we find it, showing you only the homes that fit.
If you live abroad, we view on your behalf and take you round each home on a video call. When you find the one, we negotiate for you, see the purchase through and stay on hand long after you have the keys.
Selling? We bring the same care to finding you a buyer.

“Had a great experience with Ronan through my buying process, kindly took me around the area providing some very in depth knowledge before buying, which massively helped me in gaining a feel for the area. Couldn’t recommend enough. Many thanks again Ronan.”
“From our first meeting with Ronan, we found him to be a breath of fresh air to the industry!
Within a few weeks Ronan found us a buyer, he acted quickly on every aspect of our property sale!
His communication skills kept us up to date & informed throughout the whole sales process.
After completion he also assisted us with a currency exchange issue, which was resolved successfully.
Whether you are buying or selling, and looking for a stressfree process, we can only suggest that you make sure Purcell Properties are your first port of call !”
“We were given Ronan's phone number by a friend and from the very first contact we were confident he understood what we were looking for. We found him to be a very upfront and honest guy, who explained all aspects about buying a property in Spain. He always responded quickly to any messages and we never felt under pressure to buy. We don't live in Spain and he sent information about properties we might like and we also sent him details of some we found on line. He viewed properties on our behalf, sending extra photos and doing a video call while in the property. We decided to visit and view properties and Ronan collected us from the airport. He had an appointment set up with a solicitor to have all the legal work ready for when we bought. We viewed properties and Ronan drove us around the area showing us the amenities, which helped with our decision. We did decide to make an offer and Ronan negotiated on our behalf with the agent.
The solicitor he referred us to was very professional and the sale closed with no problems. Ronan acted on our behalf on the closing day, collected the keys and checked the apartment to ensure everything was in order. He actually delivered the keys to us in Ireland.
We highly recommend Purcell Properties.”
“We engaged Purcell Properties to sell our Apartment in the South of Spain, from the moment we met with Ronan, we knew we made the right choice. Ronan put us at ease and handled everything from the word go, his help and advice was excellent and he was with us every step of the way. I would highly recommend Ronan to handle buying or selling in Spain. This is a five star Company”
“We recently used Ronan to purchase our home in Sotogrande. We were fortunate to have found Ronan Purcell through an online search. He is very friendly and personable and knows the area extremely well. Ronan was always quick to answer any texts and phone calls. He went above and beyond his role as a buyers agent. Even after the sale went through, he followed up and helped us with some issues with we had with the home. We highly recommend Ronan to find and help with the purchase of your home in southern Spain!”
“Ronan was referred to me by a friend and I am very happy that I got that referral. He sold a property for me in Spain quickly and with due diligence and I didnt even have to leave Ireland. I would refer Ronan to anyone who is thinking of buying or selling a Spanish property and wish him and his team the best in the future Thanks”
“Wish we had met Ronan earlier in our search for a property on the Costa del Sol. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He won’t relax until you have found exactly what you want. And unlike others will stick with you beyond your purchase make sure you have settled seamlessly. Thank you.”
“We used Ronan @ Purcell properties after we had already engaged with another estate agent that had not lived up to expectations. We made a 2nd trip out to Spain to start all over with Ronan - we found our perfect home in the location we wanted on the 1st day of viewings. Ronan’s after care can only be described as “above & beyond”. Literally does everything for you . I would highly recommend the services of Purcell properties..

“I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Purcell Properties.
Ronan came highly recommended, and even then, he went above and beyond my expectations. Through my own dealings with him, I know him to be a trustworthy and reliable person, and his advice and support throughout a potentially convoluted process was absolutely invaluable. 10/10! 🙏”
“Ronan assisted with the purchase and subsequent sale of my apartment in Torreguadiaro, as well as the purchase of my current home in Sotogrande. I cannot recommend him enough. Be warned, he's not your typical agent, you'll find him to be the friendliest guy you've ever dealt with and he'll become a firm friend too!”
“John and I were introduced to Ronan from Purcell Properties by family members who are friendly with him , it turned out to be an excellent introduction for us . When we became ready to purchase a property in Costa Del Sol we had no hesitation asking Ronan to be our Property Agent. What an excellent choice it turned out to be . We live in Ireland so a month before we travelled to Spain he called us and listened to all the requirements we felt we had 🤷♀️ Ronan was an excellent listener and told us when we flew over for a weekend he would have everything set up for us and he sure did , he left a place in the sun for dead. He collected us both early Friday morning and took us to a solicitor who would look after all our legal issues if we found a place to buy and put an offer in, this was a very important meeting and saved John and I stress & hassle especially as there is a language barrier, after that Ronan had 6 viewings set up for us , one of the most amazing days we have ever spent , he showed us a lovely mix of apartments and had really kept to all the things we asked him for , at the end of the whirlwind day we liked 2 but had a favourite, Ronan encouraged us to go back to where we were staying and sleep on it so we did , Ronan set up 2 appointments for us on Saturday morning to re visit both apartments and we did but we already knew which one we would take and we made an offer , Ronan was outstanding and made the whole transaction so easy and simple for us and is a lovely person to spend time with , from the day we made our offer we owned the apartment in 4 weeks , thanks Ronan and see you for a game of golf in August 😎🏌️♀️⛳️”
“Ronan was the perfect person to assist us in buying our ideal home. From start to finish - and beyond, nothing was too much trouble and he found us a variety of different properties to choose from. His professional knowledge, genuine advice and local knowledge was invaluable and he went ‘above and beyond’ for us throughout the purchasing process - both in person, by phone with us and with other related personnel, whether it was within office hours or not ! Ronan has also continued to support us willingly since signing for our apartment - sharing contacts of great tradesmen as well as with the completion of official documents etc. We would recommend Ronan in a heartbeat and wish him all the future success he truly deserves.”
“I will keep this simple and not go on about things, all I can say is from start to finish I didn’t have to do anything, Ronan sorted it all out! I didn’t really know what I was doing with most of it tbh and I thought I did! I didn’t have a clue and to have Ronan guide me through the whole process was something I would have really struggled with overall! I will put my hands up and admit I was out of my depth and really give my gratitude and respect to him for going above and beyond for myself and my family at the drop of a hat! Amazing service and an amazing guy, thank you Ronan and team, I really appreciate it all ❤️”

“Ronan and the team were an absolute pleasure to work with and made the whole process so simple from start to finish.
The team at Purcell have excellent knowledge of the area and properties they are selling too!”
“My introduction to Purcell Properties came during the COVID travel restrictions. Ronan and the team went above and beyond to support me buying without being in the country regularly. Their knowledge of the region and their eagerness to find the best property for my family was amazing. We are now happy property owners and I continue to recommend Purcell Properties to my friends and family.”
“Asked Ronan to find me a suitable apartment to buy and bought within a week ….. great service 👍”
“Purcell Properties is not only a very professional agent for a new home in the Sotogrande/Marbella area, he also is very reliable and knowledgeable, he showed us 7 objects according to our ideas of what we wanted, he said (after he had been around us for a whole morning) that we would buy the 2nd last, and guess what we did 😅 ? We are very happy and became friends with Ronan Purcell - you can definitely count on him 👍👍👍”Explore the many vibrant communities of the Costa del Sol.
